MAX – Marketing Automation eXplorer · Last updated: 01/10/2026
MAX is a browser extension that helps people who use Oracle Eloqua read their own Eloqua assets in plain English and see how those assets performed.
What MAX does not do
- MAX has no server. The extension talks directly from your browser to Oracle Eloqua and to nothing else.
- MAX does not collect, sell, share or send your data to its publisher or any third party.
- MAX does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- MAX does not create, edit or delete your Eloqua assets. The only request it can make is asking Eloqua to recalculate a segment's contact count, and only when you press Calculate count now. This is the same as pressing Refresh on the segment in Eloqua and does not change the segment.
Information MAX handles
- Your Eloqua sign-in (company name, username, password). It is sent only to Oracle Eloqua (
login.eloqua.com and your Eloqua address) to sign you in. While you are signed in, it is kept in the browser's session memory only. It is cleared when you sign out or close the browser, and it is never written to disk.
- Company name and username. If you tick "Remember company and username", these two values are saved in your browser so you don't have to retype them. Your password is never saved. Untick the box to remove them.
- Eloqua content you choose to open (emails, forms, landing pages, segments, campaigns) and activity counts for reports. These are read from Eloqua and shown on your screen, kept in the browser's memory, and discarded when the MAX tab is closed.
- Contact information. MAX never displays contact details. Reports use contact IDs only to count unique people. Email addresses pasted into segment filters are replaced by a count before they are displayed.
Files you create
When you choose "Create review file", "Save a copy for support" or "Download as CSV", MAX saves a file to your own computer. What you do with that file is up to you.
Permissions
- Access to
*.eloqua.com: needed to read your Eloqua assets and activity data with your own Eloqua account.
- Storage: needed to keep you signed in while the browser is open and, if you choose, to remember your company name and username.
Changes to this policy
If MAX changes how it handles information, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
